Slacker...not really!

Yes, I am a slacker when it comes to posting. It is so much easier to put info in my BT training log!
This past week, I have done a lot of running. Well, alot for me. The feets are feeling better, but this left leg thing is bugging the crap out of me. Need to increase the streching. I really think there is something up with the hip, but I will try a few weeks of home therapy before I call the sports doc. The left ankle is acting up again too...WTF. I need a new leg, form the hip down.
Anyway, did a nice long run on Wednesday, in the mist. It was great. Temps were about 54 and it was just a little misty. Went for 1 hour and 18 min. It was a walk run...10 min of running, 2 min of walking, plus the warm up and cool down. Also ran the Smithville 5K with Diana on Sunday. Second in my age group. I thi nkit was a PR for me!! I need to check my Chris Thater times! I did do about 5-6 minutes of walking sprinkled in here and there. It was crazy humid! I had also done a 30 min run earlier in the week...no walking, yay. The pace sucked, but it will get down there. I have to remember that I am still recovering.
Antoher week begins tomarrow. Focus for this week is clean eating!

Well, I did nothing today. Tummy still bugging me a bit and I am not sure if it is the heat or something going around. I did however manage 3.05 miles yesterday. It was a walk/run, but I am getting back into it. The feet, not so happy today, but I must push them so they will get better. The Dr said that I am ahead of the curve on recovery, so that is good news. I go back to work next Thursday.

I am going out of town this weekend. I am driving the sag wagon (or sad wagon lol) while a couple of my tri peeps ride for 100 or so miles. I was supposed to do the ride with them, but the feet...you know... So the least I could do is drive. Maybe a little OWS on Sunday, and a short run. Then more OWS on Monday night up to Dorchester.

I packed a lot of veggies and fruit, and a tad bit of junk food...popcorn and tortilla chips, but will keep an eye on what I put in my mouth, hopefully the scale will show a loss on Monday :).

ummm....

I know, I know. I have been very bad about blogging. I do so well on the BT site, then slack over here. So anyway, things are going ok. Go back to the DR tomarrow, so hopefully (not) I will be back to work Thursday. I only don't want to becasue I would rather play, but I do miss my peeps at work, and I do (sorta) like my job. It keeps me real active.... I will try to do more later...see ya!

Oh Rainy Day

Well, what a doom and gloom day. Did some P90X and hoping to get out for a walk later, then a little RBR later, minus the run!
Yesterday I got to do some swimming again, just taking it easy for now. No speed work or anything like that. Just a nice easy 1000 yards. This is good because my first race is June 6th. Thank goodness it is just a sprint distance.
Eating is going ok. My weight flucuates so bad. I just want to lose the first 10 pounds. It's fighting me so bad. I have been writing everything down, so that's a start. Not as much fruit and veggies, but trying to get it back up there.

I'm Back!

So, I forgot I started this until cousin Ang said something. Silly me. So, to catch up. I had surgery on both of my feet about 2 weeks ago. I am still recovering...blah. I did get to go swimming yesterday, yeah and I have been on my bike trainer twice now. The feet are not super happy, but they are getting better. Before surgery, my running was getting there, hopefully in a few more weeks, I will be back to running!

I have a ton of weight to lose. It seems like all I have done this year is gain, so I need to redo my measurements and before pic's. Blah!

I also signed up with Team in Training to run the Wineglass Marathon in October...CRAZY!

Oh well, One must always have goals.
